Entertaiment is the act of providing enjoyment or eliciting an aesthetic effect through the performance of a product, service, art form or other means. It can range from a single person who chooses to attend a concert, to a large-scale event involving several thousand people and a number of performers. In some cases, entertainment can be a serious activity, such as a ceremony, celebration, religious festival or satire; in others it may be a more frivolous or casual one, such as a party with music and dance. In either case, the experience of being entertained is often associated with fun and laughter.
